Home Fellowship Started

August 20, 1988
While working for the federal government and attending Capital Bible Seminary, Stephen Hildebrandt, his wife and four children commuted from Washington D.C. to Chesapeake each week to teach a Bible study on Saturday evenings.

Church Planted

December 9, 1990
​Steve was ordained as a pastor and the church met for its first Sunday Service at the Chesapeake YMCA on Greenbrier Road. Steve resigned from his government job and he and his family moved to Virginia beach in May 1991.

24/7 Facility

April 12, 1998  
The church refurbished the Sanders Center Flea Market on Oak Grove Road and began holding services in the new 24/7 rental facility on Easter Sunday 1998.

Home of our Own

January 2007
Our building and land search committee began to pray for a non-traditional (supernatural?) provision of property and within two weeks an unsolicited offer was made to purchase the church and property on Clearfield Avenue in which we currently worship.
