Grace Community Church is excited to invite your family to our annual Vacation Bible School in Chesapeake – where faith, fun, and friendship come together for an unforgettable week! Our VBS program has been serving the Chesapeake and surrounding communities for decades, creating lasting memories and building strong foundations of faith in children throughout the Hampton Roads area.

An Irish Journey through Psalm 23

At Grace Community Church, our Vacation Bible School is more than just a fun summer event—it’s a Christ-centered week designed to help children build a strong foundation in God’s Word.

During “Emerald Crossing,” kids will journey through the rich truths of Psalm 23, discovering how the Lord is our Shepherd who guides, provides, and cares for His people. Through engaging Bible lessons, music, games, crafts, and hands-on activities. Each part of the day reinforces the truth of Scripture in meaningful and memorable ways.

Our program is rooted in a clear mission: to help children understand that the Bible is true, relevant, and trustworthy—and to introduce them to the life-changing message of the gospel.

Throughout the week, children will be encouraged to grow in confidence in God’s Word, moving from fear to faith and from uncertainty to peace as they learn what it means to follow the Good Shepherd.

Whether your child is familiar with church or brand new, VBS is a joyful opportunity to ask big questions, build lasting friendships, and hear the good news of Jesus Christ in a clear and compelling way.

What Your Child Will Experience

Our Chesapeake VBS program features:

Interactive Bible Lessons: Age-appropriate stories that bring Scripture to life through drama, puppets, and multimedia presentations tailored for young learners in the Chesapeake area.
Creative Arts & Crafts: Each day includes hands-on projects your child can take home, from medieval shields to friendship bracelets, all reinforcing the day's biblical lesson.
Active Games & Recreation: Our spacious Chesapeake facility includes both indoor and outdoor play areas where children participate in team-building activities, relay races, and cooperative games.
Nutritious Snacks: Daily healthy snacks are provided, accommodating common food allergies and dietary restrictions common among Chesapeake families.
Music & Worship: Uplifting songs and praise activities help children express their faith through joyful music and movement.
